Mondi Consumer Goods Packaging, in collaboration with Mondi Industrial Bags in North America, is offering a single source solution for virtually any flexible pet food packaging or woven poly pinch bottom bag application. Woven poly pinch bottom bags that boost packagers’ productivity and improve seal quality also come in various sizes for typical product weights of 10 lbs. to 50+ lbs. The bags offer a heat seal on each end. When the ends are folded over, or pinched during closure, packagers need only a hot air sealer to create a tight seal that preserves product freshness and prevents bag breakage. The woven poly pinch bags eliminate the need for sewing or hot melt equipment for bag closure and free packagers from concerns over needle holes, broken needles and machinery downtime to deal with glue buildup. Pinch bags can be sealed up to 15% faster than sewn bags.

In addition to enhanced material strength, Mondi’s woven polypropylene bags provide packagers with an array of printing possibilities, including eight-color reverse or surface printing via high-definition flexography, rotogravure and offset lithography. Gloss, matte and differential gloss printing options are possible.

Mondi’s FlexZiBox Side Pour pouch features an integrated handle in the bag’s side gusset that makes the bag comfortable to carry and gives users greater control and accuracy when pouring. The bag has a perforated area at the top for easy opening. Its side-gusset closure allows the bag to be reclosed after use, protecting the contents.   

Mondi’s FlexZibox Flat Bottom Bag offers easy-filling advantages for packagers of pet food. The bag opens with ease, allows fast and highly efficient filling and is compatible with all conventional filling machines. The FlexZibox Flat Bottom Bag features a specially designed flat base with rounded edges for enhanced stability, maintains its shape during transportation and storage, and presents an attractive appearance on store shelves.

In addition, the bags can be fitted with a variety of different closures to suit the application, including a top zipper, top slider or hook-and-loop closure. The closures allow consumers to seal the bag after use, protecting its contents and preserving freshness.
